My interview with my inspiring Georgia State University professor, Dr. Jelena Subotić

I learned so much from Dr. Jelena Subotić, who taught a compelling course on human rights that I took while working towards my MA degree at Georgia State University. Dr. Subotić covered tough topics with compassion. I am privileged to call her a friend, as well as a teacher. Her new book, Yellow Star, Red Star: Holocaust Remembrance After Communism, takes a fascinating look at Eastern European countries’ post-World World II identities. I love how Dr. Subotić weaves her own family’s history into the book. I hope listeners enjoy our conversation as much as I did.
