I loved hearing Alison Baum describe her inspiring journey from science filmmaker to charity CEO. Alison and I met in 2015, when I was inspired to hear how her own challenges as a new mother led her to found the charity Best Beginnings to support parents of all backgrounds to give their babies the best start in life.

It was no surprise when she was awarded an OBE in 2017 for her services to tackling child health inequalities in the New Year honours list.
